The perfect run
Travel more comfortably and stylishly to the Alps than you ever thought possible – and gain two extra days of skiing
It is nine o’clock on a Saturday morning and the ski lifts are just whirling into action as you arrive at Chamonix. Most of your fellow ski-vacationers will only arrive late this afternoon. By then, you will already have enjoyed a great day on the slopes. And you arrive at the slopes perfectly rested: You have had a luxurious and relaxed journey from London to Geneva the day before. Enjoyed a good night’s sleep at a four-star boutique hotel. In the morning, you changed into your ski outfit, and relaxed in your chauffeured car for the one-hour drive to your Chamonix hotel – or even directly to the ski lift.
On next Saturday, when other skiers pack their boots and leave Chamonix so early that any last skiing is usually out of the question, you have the mountains at your disposal the whole day. Only when the sun is setting over Mont Blanc will you finally hand in your skis and descend to the valley.

Enjoy two more days of skiing
in your one-week ski trip
______________________________
That is eight days of skiing in one week. 33 per cent more winter bliss than the usual ski vacation if you want to be mathematical about it. And the magical key to gaining two extra days on the slopes is arriving at the mountains more leisurely and comfortably than you would have thought possible. Instead of a long and eminently forgettable travel day of security lines and crowds, Silver Tray serves you a perfectly relaxed and luxurious day that embodies the romance of travel from a bygone era.
You depart from London Friday at lunch time, travelling on Eurostar in Business Premiere. Celebrate the start of a great journey as your steward welcomes you with a glass of Champagne, followed by an excellent three-course lunch as the train approaches France. At Gare du Nord, your private Silver Tray guide awaits you at the platform and escorts you to a chauffeured car for the drive to Gare de Lyon. Here, your guide treats you to a cocktail at the bar at the legendary Le Train Bleu, before she bids you farewell in front of the Business Premiere car of your TGV Lyria high-speed train to Geneva.

The TGV Lyria offers a class of service above and beyond anything offered on the rest of the TGV network. Enjoy the comfort and service of the train’s premium first class, as you are served a three-course meal that is both inventive and delicate, crafted by a Michelin-star chef to combine Swiss and French culinary traditions. When you arrive at Geneva after a memorable three-hour journey, a private guide awaits right at the car to escort you to your four-star hotel. It is so early in the evening that a stroll through the winding streets of the medieval centre beckons.
Next morning, the only thing between you and the slopes is the chauffeured car. One week later, the return trip to London is the same wonderful journey, with a full Saturday’s worth of skiing followed by a night in Geneva and a luxurious Sunday rail journey home. You arrive at St Pancras International Sunday afternoon.
